Google Business Profile

Google Business Profile setup for local businesses

Your Google Business Profile is the listing with your map pin, hours, photos and reviews that shows when people search for your trade in your area, and every plan includes connecting it to your new website, or helping you set one up if you do not have one yet.

What we set up

  • Your profile and your website connected: your website links to your profile and names it in its structured data. We also help you point the profile's website link at your new site.
  • The same business name, phone number, hours and towns on your website as on your profile, written from the same details.
  • A Google review link with a QR code for invoices and vehicles, and a short address on your own domain that opens the review form.
  • A ready-made WhatsApp message in your dashboard that asks a customer for a review in one tap.
  • If you do not have a profile yet, help to create one and to get through Google's verification.

What decides who shows on the map

Google says local results are based mainly on three things: relevance, distance, and how well known a business is, which it calls prominence. Read Google's own tips on local ranking.

  • Relevance: how well your profile matches the search. A complete profile with the right category, and a website that clearly names your services and towns, help here.
  • Distance: how far you are from the person searching, or from the place they searched for. Nothing on a website changes this.
  • Prominence: how well known your business is, which includes your reviews and how often your business is mentioned elsewhere online.

So we do not promise a spot on the map, and you should be wary of anyone who does. What we promise is the part we control: a fast website that says clearly what you do and where, matching your profile exactly.

About "near me" searches

When someone searches for a plumber near me, Google uses where they are. There are no words to put on a website that make a business appear for every search like that. What helps is a verified, complete profile, a website that names your services and towns, and a steady flow of real reviews.

Reviews, done properly

Reviews are the part of prominence you can grow. Ask every happy customer, soon after the job, using the link or the QR code. Never buy reviews or offer anything in return for one: Google's policies do not allow it, and it can get reviews removed. Reply to the reviews you get, good and bad.

What only you can do

  • Verify the profile. Google decides how, and the owner of the business completes it.
  • Keep your hours up to date, including public holidays. If your hours change, ask for a website change too, so both say the same.
  • Add photos of real work and answer questions customers ask on the profile.

Questions about Google Business Profile

Can you guarantee my business a top spot on Google Maps?

No, and nobody can honestly promise it. Distance from the person searching, your reviews and how well known your business is all play a part. We make sure your profile and website are complete, consistent and clear.

Can I have a profile if I work from home?

Yes. Google lets businesses that go to their customers hide their address and list the areas they serve instead, which suits most trades.

Do I still need a website if I have a profile?

They work together. The profile gets you seen on the map, and the website gives people the detail they need to choose you: what each service involves, the towns you cover, and a quick way to call, WhatsApp or send an enquiry.

Does the profile cost anything?

Google does not charge for a Business Profile. Connecting it to your website is included in every plan.
