Websites for your trade
Websites for plumbers
We build websites for South African plumbers that put the call button where a customer with water on the floor can find it, give each kind of job its own page, from blocked drains to geyser replacements, and show your PIRB registration once you send it.
Two kinds of customer, one website
Some of your customers are in trouble right now: a burst pipe, a geyser leaking through the ceiling, a toilet that will not stop running. They search on a phone, look for a number and call the first plumber who looks real and close by. Others are planning: a geyser replacement, a heat pump, a bathroom renovation or a Certificate of Compliance before a sale. They read, compare and ask for a quote.
Your site serves both. The call and WhatsApp buttons sit on every page for the first group. A page for each service gives the second group the detail they want, in the words they use: geyser, stopcock, DB board, conservancy tank.
See two plumbing websites working
Bayside Plumbing and Northline Plumbing are fictional businesses we made to show the plumbing pack on two different templates. Their names, numbers and reviews are example content.
A page for every job you do
We start from the plumbing services South African households ask for most, and keep only the ones you offer:
- Emergency plumber
- Blocked drains
- Geyser installation and repair
- Burst pipes and leak repair
- Leak detection
- Bathroom and kitchen plumbing
- Plumbing Certificate of Compliance
- Solar geysers and heat pumps
- Drain camera inspection
- Water pressure and valves
Each page is titled with the service and your town, so a search for a blocked drain in your area can land on your blocked drains page instead of your home page.
Your PIRB registration, and nothing you cannot back up
Insurers and municipalities expect a registered plumber, and so do careful customers. Your site shows what you can prove:
- PIRB registered plumber
- Issues plumbing Certificates of Compliance
- 24/7 emergency call-outs
- Public liability insured
- Years in business
Your PIRB designation and number appear only once you have sent them. Only a plumber with the PIRB Licensed Plumber designation may issue a Certificate of Compliance, so the site offers CoCs only if you hold it. It says 24/7 only if you really answer after hours; otherwise it shows your real hours, which beats a promise a customer discovers at two in the morning is not true.
Plumbing words, used the South African way
Your site says geyser, not water heater, and Certificate of Compliance or CoC, never certification. It calls you PIRB-registered only once you have sent your number, never certified, and uses the Master Plumber title only if you hold that designation. You will not find "no job too big or too small" on it, and it never calls you the cheapest: the price words are "call-out fee" and "quoted before we start".
Know how urgent it is before you call back
Your enquiry form asks two questions that help you decide which call to return first:
How urgent is it?
- Emergency, right now
- Today if possible
- This week
- Just a quote for now
What is the problem?
- Blocked drain or toilet
- Geyser problem or no hot water
- Burst pipe or leak
- Tap, toilet or bathroom fitting
- New installation
- Certificate of Compliance
- Other / not sure
When an enquiry reaches your inbox, the urgency and the problem are right there with the customer's name and number. If your business uses WhatsApp, customers can also send a photo or a short video of the leak, which speeds up a quote.
Geysers, insurance and paperwork
Geyser jobs often come with an insurance claim and a CoC. If you handle the paperwork for your customers, your geyser and CoC pages can explain how, step by step and in your words, which is exactly what someone with a burst geyser and an assessor on the way wants to read.
Questions about a website for plumbers
Can my website say we are available 24/7?
Only if you really answer after hours. Tell us your after-hours arrangement and any call-out fee, and the site states it. If you do not work nights, the site shows your real hours.
Can customers send a photo or video of the problem?
Yes, if your business uses WhatsApp: the WhatsApp button on every page opens a chat with your number. The enquiry form also asks how urgent the job is and what the problem is.
Will my PIRB number be on the site?
Yes, once you send it. It appears in the trust strip, and the site mentions Certificates of Compliance only if you hold the PIRB Licensed Plumber designation, the one that may issue them.
Can the site show my call-out fee?
Yes, if you give it to us. We word it the way your customers expect, a call-out fee with work quoted before you start, and we never describe you as the cheapest.
