What managed hosting means here

You do not rent server space and set it up yourself. We host the website we build for you, and look after everything that keeps it online:

  • A secure padlock (HTTPS) on every page, with the certificate set up and renewed for you.
  • Your site served from Cloudflare's global network.
  • Pre-built pages, with no database, plugins or admin login on your site to break into.
  • Photos resized and sent as AVIF and WebP, so pages stay light.
  • Spam protection on your enquiry form: Cloudflare Turnstile, a hidden bot trap and rate limits.
  • Every enquiry saved before we email it to you, and anything that fails to send is sent again.

Why there is no database or admin login

A website that runs on plugins and an admin login needs constant updates, and an out-of-date plugin or a weak password is a common way in. Your site has neither. Its pages are built ahead of time and served as finished files, so there is nothing on it to log in to and nothing to patch.

Speed is checked, not promised

Before a site first goes live, every page must score at least 95 on Google's Lighthouse mobile performance test. When we improve the platform, the improvements reach your site too, but they are rolled out deliberately, and every site is checked again before they go live.

Your domain points at it

Your website runs on your own domain: a free .co.za we register for you, or a domain you already have. Before we switch a domain you already have, we copy its existing settings across, so your email keeps working. Visitors who type www in front of your address are sent to the main address. What our hosting is not

  • Not stand-alone hosting: we host the website we build for you, not other websites, online shops, apps or WordPress sites.
  • Not a control panel: there is no file access or cPanel. Changes come through your dashboard.
  • Not a promise of perfect uptime: we aim to keep your website available at all times, but like every host we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service, and maintenance or outages at our suppliers can affect it.

Questions about website hosting

Is hosting included in the monthly price?

Yes. Hosting is part of every plan, from R299 per month. There is no separate hosting fee and no bandwidth charge to watch.

Can I host my existing website with you?

No. We only host the websites we build. If you like what you have, we can rebuild it on one of our templates from your current content, and you approve it before it replaces the old site.

Where is my website hosted?

On Cloudflare's global network. Your pages are served from a location close to each visitor.

What happens to my website if I cancel?

It stays live until the end of your last paid month and then goes offline. Ask within 30 days and we send you your text and photos. Your domain stays yours.
